This single origin Certified Organic Cacao Nibs are from the finest heirloom variety cacao beans. The indigenous Peruvian growers employ a traditional method of cultivation by planting the cacao trees and other fruit plants under the natural rainforest canopy. The pods are harvested and cracked open, before the beans are removed and fermented, at a low temperature not exceeding 45°C. They are free of preservative and any artificial additives, and are non-GMO. Organic cacao nibs have a rich, brown colour, a crunchy texture and a decadent full-bodied, tangy chocolate flavour and aroma. Cacao Nibs are a delicious snack and a wonderful, natural way to add yummy choc flavour to beverages and recipes.

How to Use:
Organic Cacao Nibs are a wonderful, full flavoured snack on their own; or can be combined with nuts and dried fruit – they go beautifully with cashews, goji and Inca berries. Use them in smoothies, raw food super balls and chia puddings. Sprinkle over acai bowls or on ice cream sundaes. They add fabulous flavour when added to baked goodies including muesli bars, muffins and cookies. Or crush in a mortar & pestle before adding to hot coffee or milk for a delicious beverage. Include a few spoons of cacao nibs in your next batch of home-made nut butter before grinding for a treat everyone will love. Raw cacao nibs can be ground and used in traditional confectionery recipes; or combined with coconut oil and cacao butter to create wonderful dairy free chocolates.
