Cocoa Powder is made by roasting cacao beans, differing from cacao powder which is made from the raw beans. Natural cocoa powder is a light brown colour and has a mild chocolate flavour and aroma. This cocoa is free of added sugar, preservative and any artificial additives, and is non-GMO. Cocoa is a wonderful, natural way to add yummy choc flavour to beverages and recipes.

How to Use:

Natural cocoa powder is a quick and easy way to make delectable hot or cold beverages.
Mix 2 teaspoons with a little water or milk to make a paste; then add warm or cold dairy or
nut milk of your choice, with sweetener if desired. Try with a little coffee for mocha – or a
touch of dried chilli on a cold day. Mix with chilled coconut water and lots of ice for a cool
milk free drink.
Cocoa powder is lovely for dusting iced cakes, energy balls, confectionary, puddings and
deserts, or ice cream sundaes and banana splits. Use it in any baking, pudding or sweet
recipe – wonderful for brownies, biscuits, cakes and steamed puddings. Great for making
sugar or butter icings, or light chocolate sauces.

 

Storage:

Store in an air tight container in a cool (18°-22°C), dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
