- Half a medium onion
- Fresh Parsley or herbs of choice (optional, but we strongly recommend!)
- Water to combine
- Sunflower oil for frying
- Place all ingredients except the water in a blender and combine well.
- Gradually add water until you have a thick paste that holds its shape.
- Allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
- Press into walnut-sized spoonfuls.
- Gently shallow or deep fry on a medium heat until lightly golden on all sides.
- Serve with tzatziki, or your favourite yoghurt sauce, and maybe a dash of chilli.
- Pop into a pita or wrap or simply enjoy with a bowl of fresh salad!
