How to Use
The fresh, somewhat peppery, mint flavour of peppermint can be enjoyed as a refreshing hot or cold beverage. Use 1 teaspoon for each 200 ml of water (and one for the pot). Steep for 5-8 minutes, or a little longer for a stronger flavour. Best served without milk. Sweeten with a little honey, if desired. Or chill and serve as a have a refreshing iced tea with lemon slices. Peppermint is great in blends with other herbs and teas. It is lovely and refreshing with lemon grass, or add some to your morning pot of green or black tea. A strong infusion of peppermint leaves can be used to flavour baked treats and desserts. Add these dried leaves directly to a spice mix for savoury dishes. Use them as a flavouring when smoking meats, or in a paper parcel for baked fish and steamed seafood.
