How to Use

To make a batch of this delicious Classic shortbread you will also need: 225 grams softened butter/butter alternative. Preheat oven to 150oC. Grease a baking tray with melted butter. Place contents of the jar, along with the softened butter, into the bowl of an electric mixer. Mix until the ingredients resemble fine breadcrumbs. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll dough out until 1cm thick. Using a pastry cutter, cut shapes from the dough and place on to the prepared tray. Bake in oven for 40 minutes, or until the shortbread just starts to change colour. Transfer to a cooling rack. Once cool, dust with icing sugar just before serving. Makes approximately 20 biscuits.
