How to Use
Marjoram is frequently used to flavour savoury dishes such as stews, soups, sauces and dressings. Use it in marinades and meat rubs, or add to omelettes and cheese dishes. The delicate flavour makes it ideal for lighter dishes such as seafood, steamed vegetables, and salads. Marjoram can be combined with cumin, oregano, sumac, sea salt and sesame seeds to make a wonderful Za’atar spice mix. Za’atar is a delicious seasoning that can be sprinkled over dips like hummus and babaganoush, or used as a condiment at the table.
