How to Use
Pimento can be used whole or you can grind it with a mortar & pestle. This spice is great in pickles, cured meats, rice dishes, casseroles, curries & soups. It is delicious in baked goods, especially apple pie or boiled orange cake. Give extra depth of flavour to rich chocolate desserts or add a pinch to stewed fruits. Pimento is also lovely in raw treats like chia & berry pudding. Try adding a pinch of ground pimento to a pot of chai tea or your favourite herbal blend to add aromatic notes.
